Professor Joaquín Andreu, one of our country's great experts in water management and planning, has been awarded the National Prize for Civil Engineering. This award, granted by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, has been presented to Professor Andreu by Minister Raquel Sánchez Jiménez.

The Rector of the Polytechnic University of Valencia wanted to accompany Professor Andreu in this ceremony. The support and recognition of the work of the academic activity of the UPV continues to be a cornerstone of Professor Capilla's rectorship. Particularly in moments like this, in which recognitions of the highest level are granted and which represent the culmination of a career. The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda has given a brief overview of the career of the professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Sánchez has placed special emphasis on Professor Andreu's ability to "combine human development, environmental protection and sustainability", in addition to praising his "concern for the common good", a topic that makes him worthy of this award. recognition along with the cast of personalities who have preceded him.
