Franco Modigliani
Italian-American economist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1985. He is known for his life cycle theory of savings, which has profoundly influenced economic policy and personal financial planning.
Born on June 18, 1918, in Rome, Italy. He became a U.S. citizen in 1946.
